The world is struggling to cope up with the Covid-19 pandemic. People are losing lives,
losing their jobs and the fear of contracting the virus is making people anxious and
depressed. Given the terrible situation it could be a new normal to feel this way but we
cannot let our feelings get the better of us. Below, I have compiled some tips to help you
structure your time during this pandemic and take care of yourself.
1) Stay active: It is very essential for you to stay active even though you may be confined to
your home. Get yourself to workout at home by doing body weight exercises or yoga.
This will keep you fit and will also build your immunity.
2) Practice mindfulness: Our minds will be all over the place during this time. It will be
racing with thoughts of the past and the future. We need to control our mind and bring
it back to where it belongs – the present. Practice mindfulness by taking 10 to 15
minutes each day to practice meditation and relaxing breathing techniques.
3) Take a wellbeing course: I have developed a lot of content based on peace, love and
good health. These programs help you to create the life that you wish to live. Some of
them are even free. Check them out at Hear
4) Stay engaged with friends and family: Try and stay connected with people as much as
possible. Pick up the phone or use the internet to connect with them. You will enjoy the
company and will not feel alone.
5) Learn something new: Being at home is a great way to learn something new. It could be
upskilling professionally or learning something new for leisure like a new dish to cook or
yoga poses or a musical instrument. Do not stay idle, try and learn as much as possible.
It will be a great opportunity for you.
6) Cook nutritious meals: It is very essential to take good care of your body and you can do
so by eating healthy. Remember to have a balanced diet. It will be good for your system.
Importantly a healthy body with good immunity is a must during this time.
7) Read: Read books, it is a good distraction from all the horrid news that the media keeps
playing on loop. Avoid watching too much of news; it only focusses on the negative.
Instead read something positive. If you’d like I have plenty of positive blogs. You’ll find
them here Blogs
